April for me means spring and flowers. I know, for most cultures of the Northern Hemisphere theoretically March equinox marks the beginning, or even, mid spring. Yet who was lucky enough to experience a full day of sun with occasional colder wind before the first week of April? I don’t see any hands raised. Only with the beginning of this month was I brave enough to put out on my terrace newly planted pots. April is the month when I go slightly overboard at the flower stand… Where I live you can get fresh flowers all year long, yet April tulips and hyacinths have no competition. There was only one candle that could help me celebrate this flowery month: Jasmine Garden by BsaB.
Jasmine Garden is not my first and definitely not my last BsaB [bee-sah-bee] candle. I did write my first review on this brand here, and I still cannot get over how good quality, and at the same time affordable, these candles are. When I was gifted this gorgeous flowery scent for my birthday, I was jumping with joy.
I deeply enjoy the SPA feeling of BsaB, their design, scents and the organic and all-natural philosophy of the brand.
Jasmine Garden is part of the Deluxe glass range of BsaB candles, just like previously reviewed Tomato Leaves.
Standard size –> 200g/ 7 oz, burns for 45 hours.
Standard size costs currently € 29.00 on the official European website, which is amazing for amazing for a sustainable candle made with organic ingredients. Half a year ago, however, this candle cost only £17.00/ € 19.90, which was mind-blowing. I am still happy to pay the higher price for this candle, I just hope they won’t keep rising it :P
BsaB is a Thai brand, available in the Australia, USA, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Japan, Korea, Singapore and Taiwan. When I first came across the brand, It also had shops in UK, Ireland, Kuwait, Malaysia and Hong Kong. It unfortunately doesn’t seem to be supporting these markets anymore.

Subjective scent and scent throw evaluation:
BsaB use 100% pure essential oils with no chemical additions. Any BsaB organic candle as well as the diffusers can be used in aromatherapy. Jasmine Garden is a very straight forward and “simple” candle. Jasmine flowers produce a very strong and unique scent. It’s feminine, warm and quite pungent. Somewhere along the line of a Damask Rose. Jasmine essential oil is costly and difficult to extract (flowers have to be picked up by night) and has been used for ages for soothing the nerves and anxieties as well as restoring optimism. It’s also believed to be an aphrodisiac, as it brings the feeling of emotional warmth. It’s definitely a very specific scent, bringing to mind a grandmother’s vanity and sweet candy. I’d advise to check it out before purchasing, especially because this candles fills out your bedroom in less than half an hour and lasts for a long time!
Mine comes from the BsaB brand store on Hartenstraat 4, 1016 CB Amsterdam.
